Vacation Bible School (VBS)

2009's VBS theme was "ROME: Paul and the Underground Church." We had a great time at God taught us some amazing things about His love. More info and links to photos and video below!

VBS 2009 (June 15-19, 2009)

Welcome to Rome where families meet Paul and early Christians from the Underground Church!

During the Holy Land Adventure, kids and adults became apprentices in a variety of hands-on marketplace shops, played high-energy games, took part in eye-catching dramas, and visited with Paul - who was under arrest!

Bible truths came to life as learners of all ages discovered what it was like to be a part of the early church.

Here are the five truths about God’s love that we discovered in the Bible during the week:

1. God’s love is a FREE GIFT! – For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
2. God’s love CHANGES US! – Don’t copy the behavior and customs of the world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. (Romans 12:2)
3. God’s love is ALWAYS WITH US! – And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. (Romans 8:38)
4. God’s love SAVES US! – But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8)
5. God’s love is WORTH SHARING! – For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. (Romans 1:16)
