If you attend and/or are considering membership at Pathway, we’re thankful that God has brought you to a place in your walk with Him where you desire to be connected to a local body of believers. We believe Pathway Community Church is a place where you can belong and use the gifts God has given you to build His Kingdom.

What Does Church Membership Mean?

God’s Word (the Bible) speaks about commitment to the local church in several places (Hebrews 10:25, Ephesians 4:1-6, and I Corinthians 12:1-31). In an age of individualism and weak commitments, formal membership provides a helpful means of moving Christians away from these two cultural ills.

Membership at Pathway accomplishes several things:

• It clarifies and makes public a person's commitment to grow spiritually and serve within the spiritual family of Pathway
• It enables individuals to vote when the church decision-making process requires church-wide authority (on matters such as confirming church officers, determining the yearly budget)
• It enables eligibility to serve in particular leadership roles within the church

How Do I Become A Member?

While becoming a church member is a significant step, we have tried to make the process simple and helpful. The following steps are required in order to become a member of Pathway Community Church:

• Attend a Welcome Rally
• Complete the Pathway to Membership Form and submit it to the church office
• Final preparations for Membership Sunday (may include a meeting with one of the pastors or elders).
