NEW TESTAMENT ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONSWhy be baptized?
What does baptism mean?
Who should be baptized?Every person who has personally made the decision to believe and accept Christ into their life (Acts 2:41)When should we be baptized?
What if I was baptized as an infant?Pathway recommends that you prayerfully consider what God's Word teaches and be baptized again if you have not been baptized since you became a believer. It doesn't devalue your prior experience but simply reflects your desire to be baptized in the same way Jesus was baptized.Every member of Pathway Community Church has been baptized as a believer. We dedicate infants to God. We baptize believers. How are we baptized?Baptism is a Greek word that mean to dip or immerse. At Pathway we baptize by immersion (Matthew 3:16)
If you have additional questions or are interested in being baptized, please contact the church office. RELATED SCRIPTURE"When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, 'Brothers, what shall we do?' Peter replied, 'Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.' With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, 'Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.' Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day." - Acts 2:37-41 (NIV) RELATED RESOURCES |
