Sharing God's Love

Mother Teresa once said, "Small things done with great love can change the world." Pathway is burdened and passionate about sharing the wonderful news of God's love, expressed through Jesus Christ. We want to reach beyond the church walls and make an impact in the York community and our world. Our vision for sharing Christ is through investing time into the lives of others and having an inviting attitude.

Opportunities to Put God's Love into Action

There are many ways to share God's love in the world around you. Here are just a few specific ways to reach out:

• Education - Take a Pathway University course such as "Contagious Christian" or "IE: Intellectual Evangelism" to learn ways to share your faith
• Outreach Events - Participate in an outreach event such as VBS, Fall Blast, community concerts, or the softball team
• Missions - Go on a short-term missions trip
• Relationships - Build friendships with your un-churched neighbors. Consider starting a home community group
• Invite - Invite your friends, family, and neighbors to outreach events or Sunday services
• Pray - Participate in a prayer walk, a concert of prayer event, or pray individually for those who are lost or needy and for our missionaries around the world

Outreach Events

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS)

VBS is a summer outreach for all children ages 4 through 5th grade. It's a great time of games, crafts, music, food, and learning. Don't miss the upcoming VBS. [more info]

FALL BLAST

Fall Blast is a yearly week-long outreach in the fall where Pathway blesses individuals and families in the York Community with food and toiletry items. In 2008, Pathway delivered more than 50 boxes of food to those in need and more than 25 "backpacks of blessing," backpacks filled with food and toiletry items. The entire church family came together to collect, package, and delivery all of these items.

EASTER BASKETS

Candy and other items were collected and distributed to Pathway's neighbors and several childcare facilities in the York and Dover area as a means to bless others during this joyous holiday.

UN-YARD SALE

A wide variety of household items were collected and set up at Pathway for an "Un-Yard Sale." Members of the community were invited to come in to shop for items and take items with them at no cost. There was a big response - with many coming throughout the day and several sharing how blessed they were by this unique event. Don't get rid of those unwanted items in your closets, garage, or basement just yet! You might just want to save them in case Pathway hosts another Un-Yard Sale!
